Q. Can I do my student teaching in Canada?
A. Yes.
Q. Is there any financial aid available?
A. If you are a Canadian citizen, you may apply for OSAP. Pick up an OSAP application at your local university.
Q. I have not taken all the liberal arts and science courses. Can I still be admitted into the program?
A. Yes. To qualify for the program you must have a bachelor’s degree (3 or 4 year). Any outstanding requirements can be completed prior to enrollment or while a student at Medaille.
Q. What criteria is used to determine admission to the program?
A. Your admissions decision will be based on your grades from University, letters of recommendation, work experience and your personal interview.
Q. Do I need to take any exams before I enroll?
A. Medaille does not require either the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or Miller Analogy Test (MAT). You may be asked to take the Medaille College placement exam prior to the start of classes.

Definitions or "Speaking American"

Credit Hour…The majority of your courses at Medaille will be worth three credit hours. Three credit hours is the equivalent of .5 credits or a half year course at an Ontario University.
College…In the U.S., both colleges and universities grant degrees. The term is used interchangeably.
Semester…A fifteen to eighteen week period during which you will complete one or more courses. The Fall semester runs from approximately September to December. The Spring semester runs from January to May. The average course load is 5-6 courses per semester.
